Rachel Moore, MA (She/They)

Psychological Associate  (#94029620)

Rachel Moore, MA, is a Psychological Associate at TheraQ, providing virtual therapy for teens and adults across California. Rachel works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and major life changes. She is especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients and understands how exhausting it can feel to move through the world constantly trying to keep up, hold everything together, or push emotions aside just to survive the day.

Rachel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and her Master’s degree in Psychology from The Chicago School. She is foundationally trained in DBT and draws from her past experience working as an EMT to understand crisis, stress, and the reality that people can be struggling long before anyone else notices.

Her therapy style is direct, compassionate, and practical. Rachel primarily draws from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and humanistic therapy, helping clients build coping skills while also making space for the very real emotions underneath the surface. She often works with people who have spent years feeling like their emotions are “too much,” or who learned early on that they had to ignore their own needs to get through life.

Clients who work with Rachel can expect honesty, warmth, and a therapist who sees them as a full human being rather than a diagnosis. She believes therapy should feel collaborative, and she values authenticity in the therapy room. Rachel works to create an environment where clients can speak openly without feeling judged, dismissed, or pathologized for their experiences.

Before becoming a therapist, Rachel worked as a first responder and saw firsthand how pain, trauma, and struggle affect people from every background and walk of life. That experience continues to shape her belief that healing is not about becoming a “perfect” version of yourself. It is about building a life that feels manageable, meaningful, and genuinely worth living.

Rachel provides online therapy through TheraQ for teens and adults throughout California.

Rachel is supervised by Dr. Shirin  Mostofi, PsyD (PSY# 33247).

Hourly Sliding Scale Rate: $120 - $120 an hour

Rachel is currently seeing clients virtually.
